The third offering from this UK outfit, released in 1987, continued to follow the shamanistic stylings that vocalist Ian Astbury began to develop even before the band officially formed in 1983. Disregarding the flavor of the day approach to bluesy rock and ignoring the low hanging fruit of the hair metal movement raging at the time, Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy stuck to what worked for them. Making music made to last.

Straight ahead. Windows down. Electric is a record built on riffs and howls. Pure rock ’n’ roll. Using all the prerequisite elements to original effect. The anthems and mythologies here get in and get out, setting their hook efficiently. Somewhere, someone is playing air guitar.
