Frenetic, angry, unyielding, yet somehow delightful and buoyant, Louden Up Now was bravely forged in a realm that doesn’t take kindly to false pretense. The eleven songs, clocking in at just under an hour, are a constant tug of war between the urge to dance and the call to mosh. It’s a deeply layered, both musically and conceptually, record that delights in holding up those mirrors.
