This is a very polished record, bursting forth with an impassioned sound from the jump. That polish and passion might, in lesser hands, come across as phony. But song after song, like the waves of the Atlantic rolling upon you, root you deeper into the experience. It’s an immensely satisfying feeling.

Fault could be argued, but what’s the point? The imperfections, rare as they are, only highlight what is so great about this recording. Like any great record, repeated listenings reveal the depths of your own story into which Wolves and Thieves dives. And just when you think you might have this album figured out, well, that’s when it gets interesting.
