Art outlasts the artists responsible for it. Mortality is undefeated. In the case of Blind Faith, there wasn’t much of a fight. Formed and disbanded within a year, all we have from this, the original supergroup, is their eponymous debut. Sparse as it is, these six songs spread out over 42 minutes, gives us a glimpse into what four planets crashing together sounds like.
It’d be easy to miss the forest for the trees. Blind Faith was made by giants, yes, but their gravitational pull in that orbit is gone. The collision, and the resulting sound from the explosion though, still reaches us to this day.
