The Steve Miller Band’s style of rock ’n’ roll is an entirely different cut. A singular sound is present on all twelve tracks of an album that anyone else might consider a collection of greatest hits. That six of the songs on Fly Like an Eagle did land on his his Greatest Hits 1974-78 is a testament to how good this original recording is. With sales reaching quadruple platinum status, you’d be hard pressed to find much of an argument.
